Beauty and the Beast

My favourite cartoon of all, Beauty and the Beast will be in town!

The musical will show at KLCC Convention Centre from June 24 to July 3. Tickets by Ticketcharge. But, judging from the seating plan, it looks completely unaffordable. The only seats I'd like are the RM350 ones, and there's no discount unless you're a CIMB credit card holder. So sad.

Actually, I could settle for the RM90 ones, since I just want to listen to the soundtrack performed live.

Anyone got discounts??

Jed

There's something wrong. I've had my holiday. I've another holiday coming up (with delicious Thai food, endless massages and long snorkel sessions cramped into 4 days). The boss has verbally agreed to increase my salary. I'm happy skipping around in gym classes. I found a new radio channel to listen to (don't know what channel or frequency it is but it has no ads, that I know). I've stocked up on all my favourite expensive cereals. Ok, I've still got to pay up for my car's 2nd overhaul. And I'm quite broke (never use the word "absolutely" because a pay check always comes in at the end of the month). The pre-wedding figure looks like it needs some serious work soon. I have no motivation to work and getting up in the mornings are a drag - the only thing of which I enjoy is the long drive to work with the radio (so sad, I know). There are other things, but, why dwell on the ugly things in life?

Jaded. I'm at that phase.

Thought of the day

Heard on hitz.fm : "You don't need someone to make your life whole. To find happiness, you first have to be happy yourself. If you decide to share your life with someone, that person has to add to that happiness."

At my desk, again

Back, from lovely trip to Eastern Europe. It was an eye-opening fortnight, to say the least. I was excited over the falling snow in Vienna and the white blankets in Salzburg, the beauty of Charles Bridge in Prague and the enchanting night scenes on the Danube in Budapest, felt thoroughly pampered by having nice hotel rooms and good breakfasts and all meals taken care of (I may just change my mind about tour groups), and basically just loved that I didn't have to think about work at all.

But, when I got back, I had an avalanche of work and other stuff to take care of. The "other stuff" being real tricky issues that seem tougher to handle than the avalanche. I'm still working on the "other stuff".

Back to happier episodes, I've uploaded my trip pics here. Not much, because oftentimes, I found it too cold to take my hands out of my gloves, and I just let KF do all the work. From the ultra-cold European region, I'm looking forward to a sunny beach holiday in Krabi at the end of next month. I thrive on holidays, yes I do!
