MLTR concert!

Again, I'm amazed by how good a concert can get.

It was a great concert! Honestly. When we went in to the Arena of Stars (in Genting) at about 7 plus, many seats were still empty. By about half past 8 (concert was supposed to start at 8, but you know M'sians), the whole arena was full! I was so amazed that MLTR had such a huge fan base and there were people actually willing to buy Sunday night tickets up to Genting to watch them.

They didn't disappoint :) They started at about 8.40pm, and sang all the way till about 10.15pm with one encore. No breaks in between, no guest stars to fill in time, no unnecessary outfit change ... a great concert that delivered all their songs with a fantastic sound system.

And they're a talented bunch. I'll admit this, I've always thought they were this Scandinavian band that belted sentimental songs, had this weird band name, and were actually uncool although their songs had great sing-able tunes. But, yesterday night proved me wrong. They played very well, all of them play their instruments with lotsa obvious talent, and the lead singer can sing! They got the crowd on their feet and there was even a couple ballroom-dancing in the crowd! Even rather old Chinese men were on their feet moving uninhibitedly to the catchy music.

Fantastic time I had :) Even better than Sammi Cheng's. As good as Ronan Keating's. Definitely not a waste of effort to travel all the way up.
