1. Why do we take for granted anything we have in abundance, and value things we cannot have?
You think it everyday. Your friend has got better pay and a better job. Her family's cooler than yours. That couple looks like they're more exciting than you and yours. Your friend's car seems to need less maintenance than yours. Her boyfriend showers more attention to her than yours does. Everyone else's life is more fun than your own.
2. Why do we put our trust in something as unmeasurable as the love of another?
I don't know. Would that be why there are often conflicts within couples? One feels he / she loves more than the other. How can such a supposedly simple everyday matter not have a solution?
